Astral is the brainchild of Phillip Curry, founder of Lotus Designs.  Curry sold Lotus to Patagonia a number of years ago and became, among other things, an organic farmer.  Now the non-compete clause in his buy-sell agreement is satisfied, and Phillip's back in the game.
