Canoe, Kayak & Cargo Box Shipping & Handling

Rutabaga will contact you to discuss color, rudder, payment, and shipping details for boats purchased online.
- We currently ship only polyethylene and Royalex (plastic) canoes and plastic and composite kayaks within the continental United States.
- WE WILL NOT SHIP FREIGHT WITHOUT CONTACTING YOU FIRST
- Freight shipments are made once a week, on Thursdays
- There is a flat rate of $150.00 for each plastic boat shipped or $250.00 per composite kayak or $90.00 for each cargo box.
- We use YRC and ABF freight companies for our canoe and kayak shipments.
Boat shipments will be sent to the freight terminal that is closest to your home or
work. You are responsible for picking the boat up from the terminal.
- All Internet boat sales are final unless damaged in shipment.
- Rutabaga will handle damage claims within 2-6 weeks
- Freight shipping of luggage boxes, canoes and kayaks is only available to the lower 48 states, not available to Alaska or Hawaii.
- FOR INSURANCE PURPOSES, RUTABAGA CANNOT SHIP USED BOATS
Private Contract Shipping
Another option is to hire a private shipper. A shipper that we use on occasion is listed below and can be contracted to deliver individual boats on a boat trailer anywhere within the United States.
