Non-Coastal Kayaking Efficient and Comfortable Traveling Through the Wilderness by Kayak.

The true potential of the kayak as a vehicle for traveling through waterways of wilderness areas is unknown to many who rely on the conventional use of a canoe. This presentation will discuss how the kayak by the use of innovative, unconventional equipment and methods can provide an efficient and comfortable way to travel and will suggest areas to explore in the US/Canadian Boundary Waters wilderness area.

Peter Veng-Pedersen has always been attracted to exploring the world via boat. His Professional career eventually landed him in Iowa. “Land-locked,” he found compensation in the US/Canadian Boundary Waters. He has crisscrossed this wilderness area, each time with better, “scientifically designed” equipment and improved planning and techniques. His goal has been to find new ways to maximize comfort and traveling efficiency to enable continued enjoyment.
