Being a taller guy (6'1”), this boat was small for me. I paddled it without shoes because I couldn’t get my Chacos in it. I found that it hugs my legs nicely and the stability is very dependable. It’s very smooth and pretty fast in the water. It moves straight even with the skeg up.
This boat enjoys great edging and fantastic maneuverability. The thigh pads hit just right, although the deck is just slightly shallow for a paddler of my size, (5’10”). The Capella has excellent stability once moving, and edging isn’t a problem.
