Have a car, you need a rack! I have been using my Yakima Q towers for the past five years, and they are still going strong. The Q tower is what you need if your car roof has nothing on it. The tower sits on top of my roof, and the Q clips fit in the door frame. I have carried multiple boats up to the Boundary Waters in 40 MPH winds (all arrived in tacked). Once you have the tower measured correctly it is a breeze to take on and off. I usually take my rack off in winter to keep it free of salts. |

The Q Towers are an excellent choice for somebody without a factory roof rack. They are fairly simple to put on, and they work on almost any car. The set-up takes about 30-45 minutes, and once its on, it is an ultra-secure fit. They use Yakima's round bars to accomodate any Yakima accessory, as well as some Thule accessories. The part that adapts to your car is called a Q clip, and there are MANY of these, so it may be a good idea to call in and confirm we have your clip in stock before you come in from far away. |
