Porte des Morts Passage, or Death's Door, is a crossing not to be taken lightly. Currents flowing from Green Bay into Lake Michigan can be strong and unpredictable. We'll begin at the Garrett Bay landing and cross to Detroit Harbor, with a visit to Detroit Island on one leg of the trip. For the experienced paddler, this 16 mile round trip crossing is an exciting adventure.
Please pre-order a box lunch when you get to the symposium or plan to pack a lunch - we will not return to the symposium site for our lunch break.
Please note that this is an all day class - register for both the morning and afternoon segments on the day you take this tour.
