Adult, Family & Youth Paddling Opportunities

Based on public health recommendations and safety precautions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have cancelled all youth and adult classes for the 2020 season, as well as the Door County Sea Kayak Symposium. As always, the safety and well-being of our participants, instructors, and our community is our number one priority, and we could not find a way to hold our classes that would adhere to our safety standards while offering the same quality instruction our programs provide. This decision was not made lightly, as teaching people to paddle is one of the best things we do here at Rutabaga.

We are still offering Private Lessons if you are interested! Please read about our safety protocol on our Private Lessons page.

We thank you so much for your support and your understanding.

Whether you're new to paddling or a seasoned veteran, Rutabaga Outdoor Programs can help you improve the quality and enjoyment of your paddling experiences. For over 30 years we've taught thousands of children and adults the skills to enjoy canoeing, kayaking and stand up paddling (SUP). We invite you to discover our wide range of classes for all ages and abilities. We hope you'll join us for some on-water fun and learning this season!
