Paddlesports International, Inc. is a non-profit whose mission is to take paddlesports world wide. To begin this task, it identifies water bodies that are suitable for commercial, human-powered watercraft recreation operations, seeks out governmental or NGO support and brings highly recognized expertise to create the eco-heritage, expedition-based environmental educational, or just plain recreational enterprise to begin serving the public.

PI2 has begun in Japan's Omonogawa (Omono River) in the Akita Prefecture in NW Japan in June, 2005. It has piqued the interest of nearby public officials to come to their watersheds, and has been in contact with officials in China (Hong Kong) and India's northern area.

It has a program for American outfitters to bring tourists to Japan and participate in the proceeds; as well as working with the international Sister Cities Program to focus the search for promising new sites for paddlesports adventure operations.
