Feedback
It's hard to believe but we are full-on Canoecopia mode, and there are some subtle changes.
You may have heard that Rutabaga Paddlesports is closing December 31st, 2025. It's not a decision I (Darren) made lightly. You can read more
here. TLDR: I'm starting a new career as a hospice chaplain.
Foreseeing a change, I split off Canoecopia and Canoecopia.com from the shop, so we could keep it going as a separate entity. You won't a big difference other than some shopping logistics. Speakers; same. Seminars and workshops: same. Nonprofits in the lobby; same. Everyone else inside; same. Show guide; also the same.
If you have any questions, feel free to send a message to Darren
here.
Gratefully,
Darren
Canoecopia is the largest paddlesports consumer event in the world. The Alliant Energy Center Exposition Hall is more than 250,000 square feet, and the main hall contains more than 100,000 square feet of kayaks, canoes, stand up paddleboards, outdoor equipment and clothing, with the best selection of the season, make Canoecopia a "must go" place for gear!
With over 100 presentations and clinics, Canoecopia is also an educational event where you can learn about specific gear for your style of paddling, develop skills to get you where you want to go, and discover some of the many places to paddle, both near and far. If you're interested in experiencing life on the water, Canoecopia is the best place to spend the weekend!
Spring is coming...and we'll be ready!
