David Seaton has been paddling the waters and exploring the forests of Minnesota all his life. His first Boundary Waters canoe trip was with his dad at the age of 11 and he knew he had found his home. The Seaton family has lived on the Gunflint Trail for 20 years and his boys were in canoes before they could walk. Becoming a Boundary Waters Family is a natural continuation of the desire to help families enjoy our forests and waters.
Becoming A Boundary Waters Family Think you can't take your kids anywhere but the local park? The BWCAW is an ideal backdrop for your family adventure. It’s real, it’s reasonable, it’s fun, and it’s quality time. It’s where little ones discover that the natural world moves along at a pace they can keep up with. It’s free from distractions so you can focus on what’s important. Becoming a Boundary Waters Family© will help your family learn about nature and wild places with skills and information you need for your family to grow and thrive.
Many families would love to visit the BWCAW but don't have the skills to feel comfortable the first time. Becoming a Boundary Waters Family© takes the mysteries out of camping in canoe country. Whether your children are 2, 12 or 20 they can enjoy and benefit from an experience in the woods. Dave will help your family find the “woods wisdom” to get started.
