From beginners to intermediate paddlers, the Door County Sea Kayak Symposium offers high-quality on-water instructional opportunities. Use this information to select the classes best suited to your skill level and your paddling goals. Many classes are offered several times, so create the symposium that works for you.

Skill Builder Tours
Learning on the go awaits you in our Skill Builder Tours. A combination of tour and class, you'll develop your skills in the context of a group paddle. As you enjoy the scenery, your instructors will help you learn to deal with real paddling situations appropriate to the skill level of the tour. You'll practice navigation, rescues, boat trim, working with wind, and more. And as in real life, you never know just what may happen!

A variety of wonderful touring opportunities for all skill levels await you. Each tour is offered several times and advance registration is required. Note that tours may be modified or rerouted due to weather or water conditions.

Relaxed Pace Tours
These tours offer you beautiful scenery and a unique look at Door County with no pressure to keep up with faster-paced paddlers. Instead, you'll enjoy an easy-going pace with plenty of time for drifting and observing. Perfect for those who are content to take it slowly, think of these as "stop and smell the roses" tours.
