It's a glove box for your Kayak! 
I think of deck bags in general as a glove box. That place where everything is handy yet still out of the way. This bag is a great size for day trips and extended weekends. With the zippered open flat access, you can reach in and grab that apple or chocolate without having to take everything else out. While not absolutely dry, it does shed virtually all wave wash so that your stuff will be protected. A great gift idea for every paddler.
