Here you'll find info on policies specific to Virtual Canoecopia. Whether you've been coming to Canoecopia for years or this is your first one, we hope you'll find this information useful!
Please check back before the show, as changes could be made on procedures to make the event run as smooth as possible.
Virtual Canoecopia tickets cost $15 for the event, which includes access to presentations, interactive exhibitor booths, and special deals and incentives on gear. Most presentations will be available for viewing up to 60 days after the event. An access email for the event will be sent to attendees about a week before the show.
These are the times when presentations will be scheduled and exhibitors will be at their booths.
Friday March 12th: 12pm-8pm
Saturday March 13th: 10am-6pm
Sunday March 14th: 10am-6pm
Exhibitors will each have their own virtual booth where you can learn about their products or services, ask questions and interact with the booth staff. You will have the ability to live text chat and direct-message with exhibitors, and some booths will have live video product demos and/or Q&A sessions throughout the weekend.
Some exhibitors will be offering free giveaways or special Canoecopia deals, so be sure to check out all the booths!
There are a few different ways to shop during the event. Please read below for more details as it's a bit different than shopping at in-person Canoecopia.

Please note that Rutabaga's physical store will be closed to in-person shopping Thursday March 11th through Thursday March 18th, and re-open March 19th, to accommodate the event.
Buying a Boat
-All boat purchases will need to be made over the phone by calling Rutabaga Paddlesports at 608-223-9300. We are unable to sell boats direct from our website so unlike accessories, they are not available for online purchase.
-In order to purchase a boat, you'll need to put at least half down, and you must pay off the boat and pick it up (or arrange for delivery) by April 30th.
-Boats will be picked up at Rutabaga Paddlesports, 220 W Broadway, Monona, WI 53716, and must be done by appointment. Boat pick-up appointments will begin on Friday March 19th.
-If you don't live within a reasonable driving distance of Rutabaga to pick up a boat, please read about Shipping
-Rutabaga is offering Canoecopia attendees a gift card with boat purchases (excluding Swift Canoe & Kayak). You will receive this gift card when you pick up your boat, or after your boat has been paid in full if it is getting shipped.
-The most guaranteed boat is one we have currently on hand. Talk with our helpful staff to see if we have options to fit your needs or what your option may be about pre ordering from incoming boats. We can still place custom orders for composite boats, however availability will be different depending on the manufacturer's production practices. Over all delays are expected.
Buying a Trailer
-All trailer purchases will need to be made over the phone by calling Rutabaga Paddlesports at 608-223-9300. Similar to boats, we are unable to sell trailers direct from our website so they are not available for online purchase.
-Trailers must be paid for in full.
-You have the option to buy a pre-assembled trailer or one that is unassembled. Malone Trailer assembly fee = $300, Yakima Trailer assembly fee = $100.
-Trailers must be picked up at Rutabaga Paddlesports, 220 W Broadway, Monona, WI 53716, by April 30th unless other arrangements have been made.
-Trailer pick-ups must be done by appointment and can be scheduled starting on Friday March 19th by calling Rutabaga at 608-223-9300.
-Trailers are not eligible to be shipped.
-Rutabaga is offering Canoecopia attendees a gift card with all trailer purchases. You will receive this gift card when you pick up your trailer.
Buying a Roof Rack
-All roof rack purchases will be made online via rutabagashop.com
-If you need help selecting the right roof rack for your vehicle, please visit the Yakima, Thule, and/or Malone exhibitor booths in the virtual event platform where staff are there to assist you.
-Once you determine the best rack for your needs, make your purchase online at rutabagashop.com
-Roof rack system purchases from Yakima and Thule are eligible for free installation (a $40 value) at Rutabaga Paddlesports for Canoecopia attendees.
-Rack installation appointments can be scheduled anytime beginning on March 19th by calling Rutabaga Paddlesports at 608-223-9300.
-All accessory purchases will be made online via rutabagashop.com
-If you need help selecting the right product, please visit the appropriate exhibitor booth for assistance where you can chat with a representative. If the brand you are looking for is not listed, visit the Rutabaga booth in the virtual platform.
-Once you determine the best items for your needs, make your purchase online at rutabagashop.com
-All online orders can be shipped or picked up at Rutabaga by selecting the Curbside Pick-up option.
-Online orders will be processed within 1-3 days after they are placed.
-Most accessories will have multiple shipping options available, including Expedited Shipping. Selecting Expedited Shipping does not shorten the time it will take to process your order, only the time it will take to get the items from us to you once your order is processed.
-If you select Curbside Pick-up, you will receive an email notification once your order is ready for pick-up. Please come to the store within 3 days of receiving this notification. You do not need to have a scheduled appointment for Curbside Pick-up of accessory purchases.
-Curbside Pick-up will be available beginning Friday, March 19th.

-There will be special deals on most accessories for Canoecopia attendees (PFDs, paddles, paddle clothing, camping gear, books, etc) redeemable at rutabagashop.com
. Visit the exhibitor booths in the virtual platform to find out more.
-The Rutabaga virtual booth will act as a home base for the event, where you can ask questions and find out more info about the shop and the event.
-Brands that Rutabaga carries in-store and on the web, but who do not have a virtual booth at the event, will be listed in the Rutabaga/Customer Service Booth.

-Returns need to be in "like-new, sellable condition," with original tags, packaging, and receipt.
-All returns must be made by May 1st at Rutabaga Paddlesports.

-Rutabaga's physical store will be closed for in-store shopping and curbside pickup Thursday, March 11th through Thursday, March 18th. We will reopen Friday, March 19th.
