Sister Islands is an historic gull and tern nesting area consisting of two low, gravel islands and is one of the most important gulleries in Green Bay. We'll launch just north of the town of Sister Bay for our paddle out to this Wisconsin State Natural Area. We can expect to see (and hear and smell!) large numbers of gulls, terns and other birds.
Along the way you'll develop your skills as you learn to deal with real paddling situations. You'll practice navigation, rescues, boat trim, working with wind, and more. And as in real life, you never know just what may happen!
Because this a state protected area, this tour is entirely on-water; there is no land stop permitted on the islands. ~6-8 miles round trip.
