Moving water is NOT whitewater. It's just water, and it happens to be moving. You'll gain the skills and confidence to safely negotiate moving water and currents. We'll spend the morning reviewing stroke techniques, then we'll head to faster water to learn basic moving water maneuvers: eddy turns, peel-outs and ferries. Throughout the day, we'll discuss river dynamics and learn some fundamental river-reading skills. You'll leave with a resolve to tackle the Brule, the Namekagon, or the Chippewa, some of the best scenic rivers in the Midwest. "I'd love this to be 2 days ' so much to learn. Great class!" |
