This day trip will begin at Rutabaga, then head south into Lake Waubesa. Enjoy the expansive views of this unique lake that is both spring-fed and part of a river system. Head down the Yahara River from there to Lake Kegonsa, ending at Fishcamp County Park. Along the way, enjoy wildlife, lily pads, sand bars, cattails, and wild celery.
Plan to stop for a picnic lunch - please bring your own. Depending on water levels, a small portage around a lock may be necessary - a cart will be provided for this purpose. Canoes and kayaks welcome; photography enthusiasts may wish to bring their camera (in an appropriate waterproof container). Transportation back to Rutabaga is provided as needed - masks required to ride in a Rutabaga vehicle.
Tuition: $60/person if you bring your own equipment, $100/person all equipment included.
