"Where do I even start?" Is that what runs through your head when you consider doing a camping trip? Maybe you're just looking for some good pointers from people who have been camp for years.
Join our Outdoor Adventure instructors for a clinic on clothing, gear and packing for a backcountry trip. We'll discuss and provide examples of the types of must have gear for back country camping, the right materials for clothing (cotton is REALLY cold when wet) and how to back your bag for a canoe trip. Importantly, we'll also discuss how to prioritize the types of gear and personal items you want to bring along. This clinic is part of our Canoe Camping Skill Builder (CCSB) Series. This is a series of camp skills and canoe trips that lead up to our 3 day Northern Highlands American Legion (NHAL) State Forest Canoe Camping Trip on Sept. 3rd, 4th and 5th. For more information about the series and how to get on the trip, please click the link below. These clinics are open to everybody but only those who purchase the CCSB package can participate in the NHAL Trip on September.
