This is a two day course for current American Canoe Association L3-4 Kayak Instructors who need to update and keep their instructor certification current. This training is located on the Wolf River near White Lake, WI and hosted by Rutabaga Outdoor Adventures., and will be facilitated by L4 Whitewater Kayak Instructor Trainer Educator Jordan Taylor on the Wolf River, WI. When training Instructors Jordan draws from experience training faculty at the Calleva River School (DC Area), National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS), Madawaska Canoe Center (Ontario) and the North Carolina Outward Bound School, as well as classroom teaching. His focus includes attention to skills and competencies around Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, a recent focus of the ACA, and around Teaching & Learning Theory in practice. Registering for and completing the course does not guarantee certification. Tuition Notes The Instructor Update Course requires a $100 non-refundable deposit to register, with the balance due 4 weeks prior to the start of the course. A 15-business-day cancellation notice is required to receive a refund on the balance of the course fee. Lodging at the Gardner Dam Adventure Base is included in the cost.
