The sea kayak forward stroke is the most common stroke for sea kayakers but few will spend time to perfect it. We are going to fix that by taking a deep dive into the stroke focusing on the grip, paddle placement and body mechanics as we work toward an efficient forward stroke you can do all day. David Johnston is a visiting instructor from Peterborough, Ontario. He has been introducing people to the sport of sea kayaking for the past 23 years. He is a senior instructor trainer and kayak guide with paddle Canada and has taught for several paddling schools in Ontario. This clinic is open to anybody who wants to get nerdy about the forward stroke. |
