Junior Leader Internship Program

Are you looking for a fun and rewarding experience this summer gaining leadership skills while working with kids? Consider joining Rutabaga's Junior Leader Internship Program! Participating high schoolers will spend their summer gaining leadership experience on the water.

As a Junior Leader you will:
-Develop your canoe, kayak and stand up paddling skills
-Expand and improve your leadership skills
-Shadow Rutabaga instructors and assist with classes & camps
-Learn to teach and share your knowledge of paddling with others
-Positively influence the lives of youth
-Work with diverse audiences
-Learn responsibility
-Gain valuable life experience

Junior Leaders must commit to working a minimum of 30 hours from June-August, and must be able to attend Junior Leader training.

If you are interested in working with kids, teaching, or the outdoors, this is the perfect place to gain some experience and training. And, it could lead to a job with Rutabaga Outdoor Adventures in the future! Come be a part of an exceptional instructional team at Rutabaga!

Skill Level: Beginner to Advanced
Grades: Completed 9th - 12th grades
Prerequisite: Application and Interview required
