We'll load up early and head to Saxon Harbor on Lake Superior to get sea kayak practice in real conditions. We will make the short paddle from Wisconsin to the Westernmost point of Michigan for a close-up view of the spectacular Superior Falls. Depending on conditions, we will also explore rocky coast landings, introduction to surfing, rescues, boat handling, and a few fun scenarios to test your abilities and teamwork.

This is an advanced sea kayak class and participants should be confident with wet exits, self- and assisted- rescues, and have solid boat control skills. Lake Superior is cold—dress appropriately! Wet suits are required, dry suits recommended.
