Mann Lake is surrounded by the Northern Highland American Legion Forest, and is an interesting lake with eagles (one nest was occupied in August), ospreys, loons, and otters. It's a classic Northwoods lake. There are a few houses right after the launch, but those fade into the distance soon. There are some fascinating facts about the lake and the DNR's work to prevent winter kill during the winter. Note: this class is offsite, and there is limited parking. Mann Lake is a 20-minute drive from Camp Manito-wish.
