Minneapolis, MN 55406 twopaddles.org		Two Paddles has a mission: to help people experience the incomparable joy that comes with paddling on the Mississippi River and through the sublime beauty of Minnesota's north woods. We are pleased to announce the "Mississippi River Paddle Weekend" with five paddling events. There are three canoe and kayak races and a recreational tour taking place on Sunday, June 12th, 2022 and an ultra-distance race that starts on Friday, June 10th. The races all end at the Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park, about a 20 minute drive north of Minneapolis. Each event is named for it's distance. The longest is the "Mississippi River 140 Canoe and Kayak Race" aka the "MR 140". The 140 is an ultra endurance wilderness race where you will paddle into the night and experience sunrise on the river. The shorter races are 48, 25 and 10 miles in length and the recreational tour is 7.5 miles. The MR 48 features a relay option, and the MR 10 includes a non-competitive option. The MR 7.5 is a recreational tour that includes the option to rent a canoe or kayak. The tour starts at Coon Rapids Dam park and includes a shuttle back to the park.
