This is an extensive network of 125+ miles of hard surface trails great for bicycling, rollerblading, running and walking as well as miles of single-track trails, a dedicated cyclo-cross course and pump track. In 2022 the Cedar River was officially designated as an Iowa River Water Trail, which is part of our 140 miles of water trails. In either fall 2023 or spring 2024, we are anticipating the opening of the Cedar River Recreational Park in downtown Cedar Falls which will include in-river activities and bank amenities. When your trails adventure concludes, the fun continues in our charming and historic downtown district which offers great night-life and a variety of unique locally owned shopping and dining experiences.
