The Connected Paddler is an online learning platform for kayaking, canoeing, and stand up paddleboarding that helps you learn more effectively and progress with intention. Built around curiosity, understanding, and real world application, it prepares you to get more out of every stroke, session, and class. The core offering is a self-paced online paddling course designed to build strong foundations across all paddlesports. You will explore how boats move and why, power transfer through blade awareness, how people work in and out of the water, and how the environment shapes decisions. Authentic video, interactive challenges, and lifetime access help shorten the learning curve and accelerate learning in future in-person classes. Over 1000 students have completed this course at Michigan State University, where it remains one of the highest-rated online offerings. The Connected Paddler also offers a teaching track through That Teaching Bit. These coaching cohorts focus on teaching that clicks by sparking curiosity, building trust, and creating joy in learning through guided practice and practical tools.
