Presentations

Shipwrecks! Paddle Through Door County's History
Voyageur - Clarion Hotel Fri 5:30pm-6:15pm
Loon - upstairs Sun 2:30pm-3:15pm

Discover history hidden beneath the waves with Wisconsin Historical Society's maritime archaeologist, Tamara Thomsen. Explore easily accessible shallow water shipwrecks along Door County's scenic shoreline through underwater video, historic photographs and archaeological discoveries. Hear stories of their tragic losses and learn how to visit, protect, and preserve these time capsules of our maritime past. If think you heard a similar presentation last year - you did! However, you'll see different shipwrecks this year because Door County has so many to explore!
