  Matthew Magolan

Matt Magolan has been paddling canoes since before he can remember, and has paddled kayaks for over 25 years. He has been on sea kayak expeditions in Arctic Canada along the east coast of Hudson Bay and around Revillagigedo Island, Alaska. He's guided extensively in the Apostle Islands and the North shore of Lake Superior as well as internationally among the Lofoten Islands in Arctic Norway. These days, Matt, explores the backcountry of Wisconsin and the Great Lakes region to introduce his twin daughters to the wonders of paddle camping by canoe and kayak, gradually preparing his girls for some big adventures. He operates Umingmaq Paddle Touring Center in Oxford, Wisconsin. You can visit Matt at the Umingmaq Paddle Touring Center booth all weekend at Canoecopia to see Gram Kajak Greenland paddles built by Lars Gram from Denmark; except when he's speaking of course!
