Dave Ellingson has taught courses in spirituality, environmental ethics, human development, and youth ministry at Trinity Lutheran College in Everett, Wash. He is a Lutheran pastor, Master Gardner, former distance runner and triathlete, married and the father of five grown children. He resides in Edmonds, Washington. His Paddle Pilgrim books recount his expeditions down the Mississippi River, Erie Canal and Hudson River to the Statue of Liberty, and the fjords of Norway.
Ellen Kolbo-McDonah is a kayaker, educator, award-winning artist, and author from rural Trempealeau, Wisconsin. Her paddle of the Mississippi River is described in art and stories in her book, "One Woman 's River: A Solo Source-to-Sea Paddle on the Mighty Mississippi." She has also kayaked the Missouri and Wisconsin Rivers inspiring her unique genre, Adventurism Art. |
