Presentations

 Keynote Species of Northern Waters
Live Q&A Only - Sun 1:00pm-2:00pm

We return again and again to particular lakes and rivers because of their beauty, and ultimately what we feel as their spirit. While each of us experiences a place differently according to our individual perceptions, there are certain species that seem to speak to all of us, and which in many ways define the spirit of wild places. Come celebrate an array of northern keynote species, from plants to animals, that seem to universally evoke our strongest connections and our deepest connections.

Wild Lakes: Paddling Northern Wisconsin’s Most Beautiful Undeveloped Lakes
Live Q&A Only - Sat 2:00pm-3:00pm

Wild, undeveloped lakes offer rich ecological and aesthetic treasures, from wildlife viewing to sheer beauty and peace. John Bates has worked over the last three years to identify all of the wild lakes remaining in Wisconsin, and has paddled 65 of them with another 40 or so to go this spring. Come find out where some of the top wild lakes are and why they're remarkable.
