Emilie first fell in love with the outdoors, and a toad, at the age of 3 during her first wilderness trip to Canada. She has since paddled more than 1,000 miles of Quetico with her dad. A 2020 graduate of UW-Madison with degrees in anthropology and journalism, Emilie is currently fulfilling a one-year commitment with AmeriCorp in Montana. When not working, she enjoys hiking and climbing in the Beartooth Mountains, Yellowstone National Park and Montana's Rimrocks.
Scott's love of the great outdoors led him to declare forestry as his college major. But after receiving a grade of D in forestry class, he decided to enjoy the woods rather than work in them. He's been paddling the Quetico since high school and recently took up winter camping. Scott is a proud dad, a lucky husband and a dog lover. He and their Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Teddie, travel to Montana to visit Emilie for dad, daughter and dog outdoor adventures. |
