He is an accomplished professional nature photographer and is in demand as a speaker at outdoor shows nationwide. He now spends his summers volunteering at national parks and national forests, most recently in the Yellowstone National Park area this past summer.

The Buffalo National River in Arkansas is one of the most beautiful streams in America. From bluffs that tower 500 feet above the river to sporty class II and III runs, the Buffalo has it all. This presentation will explore not only the amazing beauty of the river but the practicalities of taking a trip through the mountains of the Ozarks, as well as some of the hiking and camping opportunities in the Buffalo National River.
Take a break from all the serious paddling presentations and share a few laughs as Marty recounts several of the most bizarre and funny stories from his 30-year career as a park ranger. Your mission, should you accept it, is to tell which stories are real and which are just made up.
