||Dale Cox has been a Park Ranger with the National Park Service for over 25 years, most of that time at the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. Originally from the Ozarks river country, he has spent his career exploring wild places and paddling moving waters. Today he sees the story of our nation's waters as a cautionary tale about our country and its people, and encouraging others to discover these special places at their own pace and tempo.
America's Heartland has a multitude of protected areas to paddle, camp, and fish. A number of these special places are managed and protected by the National Park Service. From Voyageurs National Park to the Buffalo National River, canoers and kayakers can choose between day paddles on slow moving rivers to week long adventures in remote areas of the Great Lakes region. This fast paced program shares short introductions to many of these National Park waters awaiting you this summer!
