||Kathy Nelson, co-owner and operator of Spirit of the Wilderness Outfitter in Ely, Minnesota has traveled the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness since she was a teenager. Now as a senior citizen she has guided multiple women's canoe trips, even after total knee replacement. Her groups have included introducing first time as well as seasoned wilderness travelers to an adventure making lifetime memories.
