Emily has been an outdoor educator for eight years, working for some of the top outdoor companies in the industry. Her work has focused on inclusivity and challenging people to step outside their comfort zone. She is also an avid outdoorswoman in her free time and a part of Silver Paddles. This will be her third year speaking at Canoecopia. |

Andrew is the Founder and Director of Operations for Silver Paddles, which is a charitable group that supports and advocates for people of all ages and abilities to explore wilderness destinations. He has spent five plus decades enjoying Wilderness areas.
Ethan Elkins
Ethan is the Expedition Lead and Public Engagement Director of Silver Paddles, a charitable outdoor group. He has gone on expeditions across the Boundary Waters, Wisconsin River, and more. This will be his fourth year speaking at Canoecopia.

Bear Safety 101

Sylvania - main floor Sun 2:30pm-3:15pm
Gain confidence when venturing into bear country. There will be live demonstrations of different forms of bear barrels and hanging techniques. This will also cover good camp practices to help prevent critters from spoiling food and gear. Learn techniques allowed under the Boundary Waters food storage order.
