Riley is an avid lover of the BWCAW and has worked in nearly every industry connected to it: guiding, outfitting, gear-making, and, now, non-profit work in his current role as Community Coordinator for Friends of the Boundary Waters. He and his wife met as wilderness guides, building their life and home together in Ely. They now love raising their new baby into her own adventures.

He's enjoyed over 70 overnight trips into the BWCAW and Quetico while chasing a personal goal of utilizing every BWCAW entry point (almost there) and visiting every named lake (still a ways to go!) Riley's also enjoyed adventures all over the lower 48 and into Canada. He loves adventures in any season, while pursuing photography, writing, dendrochronology, and all sorts of outdoor activities.
