Andy Nevitt is an avid endurance paddler living in Rib Mountain, WI. In addition to twice paddling the full length of the Wisconsin River, he has participated and finished several long-distance paddle races around the Midwest, including the Mississippi River 150 and the Missouri River 340. When he is not out enjoying his time on the local waterways, Andy spends his time with his family, exploring the local bike and ski trail systems around the Wausau area, or volunteering in support of endurance races across the upper Midwest. |

John Seal is a freelance cinematographer based in Wausau, WI. John's forte is in cinematic storytelling, specializing in drone to cover an array of outdoor activities and social events. John has filmed for numerous organizations and events in Wisconsin, including endurance races, music festivals, and a large variety of business stories.

421 Miles: Fast Paddling the Wisconsin River

Join Andy Nevitt as he recounts his effort to best the long-standing overall record time for paddling the entire length of the Wisconsin River. This presentation will include a showing of filmmaker John Seal's documentary "421 Miles", a visual record of Andy's adventure. The presentation will highlight the river and the many challenges Andy faced along the way, including beaver dams, fallen trees, rapids, large reservoirs, the sandbar mazes of the lower WI Riverway, as well as the river's 26 dams and portages.
