Myles Carter was born in the Northwest Territories of Canada in 1964. He has spent his entire life living on the edge of the last frontier. Every summer for sixty years, Myles has worked at a fishing lodge founded by his father, fabled bush pilot Merlyn Carter, on Nonacho Lake. The Nonacho watershed is one of the most remote wilderness areas in the world. Even Alaska has twenty times the population density of the Northwest Territories! In 2005 when his father was killed by an unprovoked attack by a bear, Myles assumed ownership of the lodge. Four years ago he began outfitting small groups of canoeists who wanted to experience true wilderness adventure. |
