Bob Carlson has been canoeing the BWCA off and on since he was 3 years old. Coffee drinking came a bit later at about 5 when he used to go to work at the family machine shop with his dad on Saturday mornings and wander into the break room for what in retrospect was generously some mediocre coffee. < br /> His skills in canoeing and coffee have evolved over the years, making trips better. His coffee roasting company, Loons Nest Coffee, has a shop on the Gunflint Trail on the edge of the BWCA that has given him the opportunity to spend more time in his favorite place. |
